The Dirt Quad four wheel Razor model is much more than just a ‘scooter', it's an actual, legitimate off road four wheeler with the torque and power to truly handle off-road situations. A related model, the Razor Dune Buggy, still does best on relatively flat off-road surfaces, but the Dirt Quad can handle tough trails and big bumps with ease.
This miniature ATV is no toy – it has authentic all-terrain features such as ATV frame geometry, a high-torque gear ratio that provides excellent climbing opportunities, a terrain-tracing droop-travel rear suspension that delivers a smooth ride, shatter-resistant plastic fairings, and a powder-coated tubular steel frame that's durable in all weather conditions.
As with many Razor products, the official age recommendation is 8+ years old. And again, many users report very good results with younger kids than 8 with proper training and supervision. As with all electric ride-ons, use your judgment, make sure they're ready, and have them wear all safety gear.

Again, the Razor Dirt Quad is a real, legitimate off-road vehicle for those new to all terrain vehicles or who would just prefer the convenience of electric. It deserves the respect and care that any vehicle would require, but when used properly it will provide you with hours of fun, on or off the road.
Things that are great about it:

* Speed limits and size to match younger/smaller riders
* Shatter-resistant plastic and tubular steel frame for durability
* Strong battery life, up to an hour of continuous use
* Authentic ATV geometry and suspension to handle the terrain
Things that could be better:
* Kids may outgrow it
* Like nearly all four wheel ATV's, can tip if pushed beyond its limits
Like most four wheel ATVs, this model has a higher center of gravity than a low-riding go kart. They can tip over if pushed too far, but anything can be dangerous if abused. Read the operating instructions, operate it safely, and wear all appropriate safety gear and you should be fine.
Another advantage of an electric unit like this versus a larger gas-powered ATV is that with its 10 mph average top speed, it has enough power to be exciting but not so much to get too out of hand. And it's FAR, far cleaner and quieter than similar gas-powered models.
Conclusion:
The Razor Dirt Quad is a great introduction to off-road riding, with authentic features and strong performance. No need to compromise adventure for the convenience of electric, this 4 wheeler gives both. Treat it with respect and it will provide you with hours and hours of all terrain excitement.
