What to Look for in Honda Quad Bikes

If you are thinking of buying a quad bike, for work, sporting, or leisure purposes then you'd do well to consider a Honda.

Honda has a pedigree in ATV (all-terrain vehicle) manufacture and distribution going back to the 1970s, and has a reputation for producing highly durable, robust vehicles.

If possible try to take the vehicle out for a test drive, and if that's not possible ask to see any photographs, even videos, of the Honda quad bike in action.

Honda ATVs are also well known for their manoeuvrability and fuel economy. Some common features are: power steering, highly supportive suspension providing a smoother ride, and electronic shift functions giving increased traction in tight spots, and tricky situations. Do check with your Honda quad bike seller in particular about the power steering feature. Moreover, some Honda quads now come with automatic transmission, allowing for up to 5-speed auto gear shifting. It's also worth asking if your prospective Honda comes with one of the slicker fuel-injected engines, enabling, amongst other things, a more frugal consumption of fuel which is both good for the environment and your wallet.

Another great feature of Honda quad bikes, which you can look forward to as an owner, is that maintenance and repair should be relatively straightforward. This stems from Honda being a global brand, with an established UK HQ, based in Slough. Dealing with such an established brand means that there should be no hunting around for impossibly rare parts, as sometimes arises in vehicle repair situations. Furthermore some quad bike retailers double as repair specialists, and have Honda qualified technicians on site.

Finally, when you buy any vehicle bearing the Honda brand name, you will be benefiting from the rich Research & Development ethos of the company as a whole. As Honda is the world's largest engine manufacturer then it's quite possible that the insights that inform one type of engine design might well feed through to the company's versatile quad bike range.
