So how does our David (X-Treme) stack up against the favored and larger Goliath, let's take a look.

We have compiled a list of important specifications when considering your electrical scooter. This week we are comparing the Razor E300S/E325S and the X-Treme 250 which both are fairly cheap electric scooters and offer similar advantages. The listed specifications were gathered from each scooter's corresponding website. The attributes below correspond to the graph at the bottom of the page.

M.S.R.P. - This is the manufacturers standard pricing. Usually you will be paying less and should pay no more than the MSRP. Figures do not account for discounted offers or sales and are susceptible to change.

Weight Limit - How much weight can you place on the scooter without stressing the vehicle? If you're too many burritos heavier than the listed capacity, expect some deficiencies in your ride.

Usage Before Charge - How long can you ride before you need to recharge. This figure is significantly affected by rider weight and size of the scooter battery. Terrain is another crucial factor in charge longevity, for example, off road will drain a battery quicker than cement or asphalt.

Product Weight - How heavy the individual scooter weighs. If you have kids or will have to carry you scooter you may desire a less weighty option.

Top Speed - The speed at which the scooter has the ability to go under its own power. This is highly variable, depending on weight, terrain and whether or not the wind is in your favor.

Removable Seat - If you prefer to sit, it's a nice option especially if it's removable. A seat also adds weight to the scooter which some riders prefer speed over comfort.

Foldaway - The foldaway option is appreciated for storage especially by students when stuffing their scooter along classroom walls.

Warranty - Usually normal wear is not covered under the base warranty (tires, tears, tubes). However, each manufacturer has their own policy, consult their website for information.
