Christmas Shopping in Newport
Make the most of your Christmas shopping in Newport this year as there will be a host of activites on offer, your usual shops to get your festive bargains and even FREE parking.
So what is there to take advantage of in Newport this Christmas?
Firstly, the big Newport City Centre lights switch-on starts it all off on November 21st. The light will form part of the Christmas parade of Giants made by Newport primary schools and representing different elements of Christmas and will include snowmen, Jack Frost, Father Christmas, elves, reindeer, christmas trees, angels and more.
The Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.00pm so why not come and make an afternoon of it?!
From then on, each Thursday will be late-night shopping in Newport to give you additional time to get those all important Christmas gifts and cards. Most shops will also be opening each Sunday in the build up to Christmas so you now have the chance to fill those stockings every day of the week!
So we've got the shops on offer, all thats left is to get there, and with FREE parking on offer, you can really take advantage of all the additional Christmas shopping time in Newport City Centre.
As if all that wasnt enough, in addtional to the usual high street goodies, There will be an extra special Christmas sparkle in Newport's Indoor Market this festive season with over 60 unique stalls ideal for picking up Christmas essentials, a magical Christmas trail and Santa's Grotto.
The Christmas trail will also be on offer for all the family around the market from 4th to 23rd December. Pick up your trail guide in-store and on the Newport City Council website from 4th December. Everyone taking part in the trail will be entered into a free prize-draw.
