Are Scooters Better Than Hybrid Cars?
Let's say for starters that it isn't raining outside. Now that we have that distinct advantage of the hybrid car out of the way, I am going to show you why a scooter is much better than these expensive miniature cars that are lacking in the power department.
Scooters come in more power sizes than your hybrid cars, and with the powerful 300cc scooters that have all the power you need, you can count Power as a win for the Scooter.
Also, you can consider price. The price of a stylish dependable hybrid car is upwards of twenty thousand dollars plus and that is if you are extremely lucky. That is the cheapest new one out there. Scooters can be found for less than four thousand dollars, and cheap ones for less than a thousand. That is two wins for the Scooter.
Miles per gallon is another category that the Scooter dominates the Hybrid car on. A gas scooter can get between 60 to 100 miles per gallon, while most hybrid cars might get you 50, and some of the best ones can get 70 miles per gallon. No hybrids get 100 mpg that we know of at the time this article was written.
Next category is that needs attention is the cost of owership. On the latest and greatest hybrid cars, they also have the latest and greatest technology. This makes repairs expensive, auto parts expensive, and labor expensive. Have a problem? Back to the dealer where you bought it and be ready to pull out your wallet. Even the service technicians need advanced training to repair these technological wonders. Have a problem with your scooter? The engines are simple to work on, parts are abundant and cheap, and they are about as complicated as your push mower. Scooter wins this category hands down for being way cheaper to maintain. In fact, for what it might cost you for one repair visit, you could have bought a brand new scooter or two!
