Extreme Scooters Require Extreme Accessories

Now of all the extreme sports out there and believe me there are loads, with more springing up on what seems to be a daily basis, I never had scootering down as one of them! I mean, really, scootering! But, guess what, I checked it out and it's really cool! Okay, it may not yet have the kudos of something like skateboarding, wakeboarding or snowboarding but this is a sport that seems to be on the move...upwards!

I remember when I was young, kids trundling up and down the streets on their new Christmas scooter and thinking it was pretty lame as I sped past them on my BMX! However, those kids were not doing what the kids are doing now in this new age of scooters! Check out some of the videos on YouTube and there is no way you can't call this sport extreme! Back flips, front flips, crazy spins and even crazier bails as they fly off the ramps and pipes catching massive air! How long will it be before extreme scooters have their own top of the range Xbox360 or Playstation video game?

As most people know, however, with great extreme scooters come great extreme scooter accessories!  Unlike boarding sports, these things have brakes and there are plenty to choose from depending on what you will be using your scooter for. Wheels, wheel bearings and handlebars are other things you can change and customise on your scooter, or there are things just to help you look a lot cooler and more colourful while you are riding!

This sport seems to be growing rapidly and increasing in popularity very quickly. And some of these scooter riders are really good with the standard improving, year on year. Great versatility is another main quality of scooters, most of which can be folded up and carried anywhere. Ride to the train station, fold the scooter up, unfold it at your destination and ride off again! Simple!
