New Mahindra Xylo Car

Perfect Power Xylo is powered by 2498cc CRDe engine which has been used in recently launched Mahindra Bolero Storm. However the engine has been fine tuned to enhance the performance and power of Xylo and has been named M-Eagle CRDe. This powerful engine provides the maximum power of 112 Bhp @ 3800 rpm with maximum torque of 1200 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm. With the perfect power and control of M-Eagle engine developed on NEF CRDe platform provides you the confidence that the true engine has been shifted in the perfect car. Its fuel tank holds 55 litres of fuel in its chest. Xylo has been launched in four variants -E2, E4, E6 & E8 looking at the use and demand of the customers with different comfort and usage. However the base model even promises to deliver the best of its class in terms of overall performance. E2 comes with single AC, power Steering and Power windows. Whereas the E8 comes with rich features like Surround Cool Dual ACs with roof mounted vents, electrically adjustable mirrors, Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), Foldable flight trays, Mobile and laptop charging point, Intellipark reverse assist System, Power window express up/down (driver side) with active pinch, Double DIN music system, Front and Rear Fog lamps, Alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers and body coloured Side Cladding.

Designed For Comfort Xylo is a perfect blend of technology and imagination by Mahindra & Mahindra to meet its customer’s needs. The dashboard is designed perfectly with the Digital Drive Assist System(DDAS) which informs the driver about the speed, gear information, direction, distance to go and even fuel balance in the alphanumeric display fitted in the central panel. DDAS also calculates the fuel efficiency and tells you how far you can go with the current fuel at your average speed.

Despite all these rich features Mahindra Xylo also has the illuminated keyhole that displays the keyhole even in the dark. With all these unique features it also provides ample well defined Centre console housing space for CDs, magazines etc. The seats are very comfortable and are enough conducive to take rest.

Xylo is also the only car to offer flatbed front seats, just like in the business class of a world-class airline. The first thing which you shall notice after entering into Xylo is the ample legroom and headroom. Theatre style seating ensures that none of the passengers feel left out of the conversation, even if they are seated in the back row. The driver’s seat is ergonomically designed with height adjustment control to maximise comfort even during long drives. Lumbar support can also be adjusted to three positions while the unique tiltable steering wheel gives you the perfect driving position which makes driving easy for the driver to drive without any discomfort. Even the wide arm rest in the front row provides the driver and co-passenger with comfort, while an integrated foot rest allows easy entry and exit without getting messed up in the controls. Meanwhile in the under seat storage compartments the slot for mobile and laptop charging is available which enhances to carry on your while long journeys without the worry of loosing the battery power of your laptop and mobile. Additional unique features include foldable flight trays behind the front seats, individual reading lamps for each passenger.

The doors of Xylo are fitted with puddle lamps which provide visibility to its passengers while alighting the car in the night. The Cabin lights shut automatically after a few minutes giving enough time to passengers to shift and settle down in the car.

Built to Perform Xylo is the reverse assist Intellipark system with visual assist in its rear view mirror which shows the distance between the rear bumper and any other object behind the car. The Double DIN entertainment system allows you to listen your favorite tacks through CDs, USB flash drives, SD cards or from MP3s. The Double DIN entertainment system gives you a pleasant feel on the road with its crystal clear clarity sound without any unwanted sounds. Xylo also provides the Independent AC vents that ensure the Surround Cool Dual AC cools in all corners of this spacious car with individual controls for each passenger which was missing in SUVs. When we took the test drive of this latest Sedan it impressed us with its power and even the comfort with smart pick up, braking, suspension and suggested that this latest Mahindra MUV will be a success and will once again repeat the success story of Scorpio and may reduce the demand of Scorpio. This latest entrant impresses form the inside but would not catch everyone’s eye from its external body shape and it is the only place where the Mahindra Xylo lacks. Beside all these Xylo is available in eight attractive colours - Fiery black, Toreador red, Java brown, Mint green, Lucky lilac, Gold shimmer, Rocky beige and Mist silver. It is also available is dual tone shades - Black with Silver & Mint green with Rocky Biege. And it is available across all the primary Mahindra dealers. Now it’s the time to see how the Tata and Toyota responds to this entrant. Tata is also set to bring its Indicruz Xover let’s wait and see what they have in store for us.
