Micro Scooter Brands - Know the Difference

The original brand Micro was established in the late 90's when Wim Ouboter invented the first Micro scooter that was compact and light weight. The Swiss company now claims to be the "leading scooter manufacturer throughout the world." Micro produces some of the highest quality aluminium scooters but other brands have since produced similar scooters for slightly lower prices. JD Bug is one brand that can often be cheaper than Micro, which is ideal for those who are not using the scooter intensively or for stunt work.

Manufacturers developed what Micro had come up with and it was from that point that JD Bug was formed. Unlike Micro, JD Bug decided to use a matt finish aluminium on some of their scooters, a larger footplate and an improved brake system and folding mechanism. In particular, the increased safety of the advanced brake system made the JD Bug scooters favourable for use by children.

Another popular scooter brand is Razor, which is an American company that has been manufacturing scooters since 2000. Razor tends to use durable aircraft aluminium and a larger wheel which makes scooting smoother. The scooter was widely used by many people for fitness, fun or those living in the city that the company was awarded "Toy of the Year" by the Toy Industry Association in 2000.

Razor also produce electric scooters which can get up to speeds of 10mph. In addition, Micro also make scooters specifically for extreme use which can endure the high speeds and heights of some stunts. All brands mentioned are credible and offer a wide variety of sizes, colours and price ranges which reflects the quality of the scooter. Clearly, the more expensive scooters are going to last longer and be more suitable for regular use whereas the cheaper models are ideal for recreational fun.
