What we have found about this kayak is that nearly everyone has been satisfied with it, and many have stated things such as, great price and lightweight, very good for the price if you know what you're buying, and it is less expensive than used kayaks locally. Many of the reviewers would buy from the seller again.

One person had owned three Ocean and Cobra kayaks and stated this was a much less expensive boat. Upon purchase of the kayak, they were thrilled with the flawless service provided from Amazon, Emotion Kayaks, and Fed-Ex throughout the whole process.

It was pointed out that the Spitfire is very stable and forgiving. One thing to remember though, is that it is short and doesn't track like a longer kayak will. But it still does a good job of staying on course with the correct paddle strokes. The conclusion from this buyer was that for the price, nothing beats this kayak.

Elsewhere it was stated that one couple typically paddle large see kayaks, and have many years of experience kayaking on many different types of water. Although they didn't expect much for the price of these "little plastic sit-on-top boats," they got more than they expected. They really are a very good deal.

A couple negatives that were mentioned are that they do not track as well as a longer kayak, and one of the reviewers said that when they received it, there were no plugs. Also, they were curious why the price has risen from approximately $230.00 to approximately $290.00 the next day. And even higher now, so they just can't recommend at this current price.

Other than that, we really couldn't find many negatives, except that if the drain plug is removed, the plug will quickly sink and need to be replaced. It was stated that there is no need to remove the plug, but children will be children.

They are lighter than other kayaks and many younger kids have made great use of this fact. Others have said that one of the best features is that if the kayak does tip over, you can't get stuck inside like some other kayaks, and they are also bright making them highly visible on the water. These could be big selling points themselves. I don't know if it is true that you can't get stuck inside, I am simply bringing up what some of the reviews have stated.

The Spitfire kayak from Emotion is considered to be a nice lightweight kayak that won't tip over too easily. Many have bought it from Amazon, and where more than happy with the product as well as the service. Overwhelmingly it has been a popular product that many people are very happy with.
