Everyday Needs Met by Your Three-Wheel Scooter

Though the engineering does not appear to be so, a 3-Wheel travel scooter offers unsurpassed balance and it meets the users' everyday needs. Those who have to use mobility devices for one reason or another have one health problem or another and it is essential that they have a mobility device that can serve them well in the long run.  Some users opt for wheelchairs because they are low maintenance and some must be pushed by another individual. Others choose four-wheel scooters because it provides the look that it's balanced and has a good knack at going faster than other scooters.  However, one thing that is overlooked with three-wheel scooters is the ability to be balanced all the while providing excellent comfort.

One area where four-wheel scooter users will encounter problems is with turning and navigating through smaller spaces.  It is effective when turning because it leads with the front wheels. Effectively there is less bulk to turn on a three-wheel.  With four-wheel scooters the turning is much wider because of a wider front end.  You know what it's like when you are in a car and you have to get through tighter spaces by turning, pulling forward slightly, then going in reverse for a brief period before repeating those steps again.  With the three-wheel scooter that is limited, if not eliminated completely. It is especially helpful when you find yourself in places such as the hospital, grocery stores, medical facilities, schools and parks.

No matter where one has to go with it, a three-wheel travel scooter offers better maneuverability. It is far easier to maneuver a three-wheel because, while balanced, it is lighter in front end and requires less energy to navigate it.  This applies to any terrain. The terrain can be bumpy or it can be smooth. The maneuverability will be just as good.

When it comes to discussion about four-wheel scooters versus three-wheel scooters, it often centers on power and balance. Now that the balance issue has been discussed, it is time to discuss the power aspect of the three-wheel scooter.

Whether it's the Falcon 3-Wheel or the Shoprider Echo Scooter – and anything in between, the aerodynamic features give the scooters much more power.  When moving forward the more aerodynamic a scooter is the more power it gives when travelling.  Much of this is a result of a nimbler front end that diverts any pressure to the sides of the scooter.  With bulkier front-end scooters like four-wheel scooters, the pressure while moving forward is often absorbed giving it less power.  Power is not measured by how fast it goes or how much horsepower it yields.  It is measured by its aerodynamic properties that enable the scooter to handle wind speeds and the outside environments without slowing down or losing energy.  On the whole, a three-wheel scooter is more powerful and much more nimble than other mobility devices.
