2010 Hummer H2 SUT Appeals to Off Road Users
Since the 2010 Hummer H2 SUT has been delayed due to GM's sale of the Hummer unit, the 2009 model continues its availability.The engine for the Hummer H2 SUT, a sizeable 6.2 liter Vortec V8, powers the vehicle with 393 horsepower at 5,700 rpm. The torque emitted from its sequential fuel injection (SFI), variable valve technology aluminum block is 415 foot pounds maximum at 4,300 rpm. In spite of its weight of over 6,600 pounds, the H2 SUT can accelerate from 0 mph to 60 mph in just under 10 seconds. The maximum towing capacity of the vehicle with this engine is 8,200 pounds.Since the 2010 Hummer H2 SUT has been delayed due to GM's sale of the Hummer unit, the 2009 model continues its availability.
Because of the weight of the Hummer H2 SUT, the EPA has not estimated its fuel economy. However, the vehicle is said to get about 10 miles per gallon. The H2 SUT is also a FlexFuel vehicle, meaning that it can be run on E85 ethanol to minimize its environmental impact. And improve its fuel economy.
Automotive critics are somewhat unwilling to endorse the H2 HUT, although they concede its appeal to off-road adventurers. Here's what Edmunds.com had to say: Thanks to recent refinements, the 2009 Hummer H2 SUT is the best one yet, though there's still no getting around its XXL size and heavy thirst. If you don't have a hankering for a small pickup bed and can instead live with a conventional SUV, other choices such as the Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX56 and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class offer more on-road refinement, more accommodating cabins and not-as-horrible fuel consumption.
