Looking for something different to go to this year? With RV parking available, you are sure to see fifth wheels lining up at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Every year, New Mexico fills up with hot air balloons. People from around the country drive in just to see the balloons. It is something you really have to experience to believe.
Every October Brings Balloons and RVs
Each October hot air balloon fans bring their RVs and set up camp in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 2010, the festival will be held October 2 - 10. That is nine fun filled days of colorful balloons and events.
It all starts at 5:45 a.m. on October 2 with the Dawn Patrol. The Dawn Patrol celebrates the invention of the balloon light. In 1978, two California hot air balloon enthusiasts developed a light positioning system. This allowed balloonist to travel at night.
The celebration is set to lights and music as participants inflate their balloons. Then at 6:00 a.m. the balloons are launched into the morning sunrise.
Fireworks Light Up the Sky
On October 3, the event schedule has a fireworks show to light up the night sky. Nothing really says RVing like setting out the lawn chairs and watching fireworks. Not to mention it is a great time to bar-be-cue. It is a relaxing way to wrap up a fun filled day.

The International Balloon Fiesta is one of the most photographed events in the world. It really is no wonder why. You have colorful balloons, competitions, fireworks, and so much more. Amateur photographers stand side by side with the professionals as everyone tries to capture a perfect moment in time.
Reserve Your Spot Early
If packing up your fifth wheels and traveling to Albuquerque sounds like a good time, then you will want to reserve your spot early. They have both dry camping and premium camping with water and electricity. It has everything you need for a comfortable week of family fun.
